Walkin streak 11-13

Not as much walking as I would like this week so far.  I have very minimal walking and more cross training. Today was freight day at work, So I know I was a little more walking than a normal workday.  I might get out and do some of my crazy walking to night.  Also closing three nights this week doesn't help, maybe a small walk after the kiddo gets out of school and before work.  I guess time will tell!

WSD6 & 7

Due to the rain I got very little in yesterday.  I think maybe a little, nut nothing to write home about.  Tonight I did my loop in front of my house over 50 times, I think it might have been closer to 70ish.  But I stoppes counting after 50.  I got 1.8 miles in tonight.  I was going to try for more, but couldn't do it.

I got my US Road Running 5k Club medal today.  That means I have registered for 12 of their races so gar this year.  Headed for beast mode which is over 50! 🙄  I did it last year, just getting a later start this year.

WSD2 cont.

I was able to get in half of one of the 5ks tonight.  I walked 1.5 miles which means I need 1.6 miles to finish the Movie Madness and 3.1 miles for the Pink Ninja.  I can do it.  Only need 4.7 miles tomorrow.  Monday through Friday is all about earning my Movie Madness Half Marathon.

WDS2

wsd2:
I have decided to try walking a little every day.  It won't be easy, but I'm going to give it a try.  I got in about half a mile in yesterday with the kids and my mom.  I have to go out for a little tonight yet to get in my walk today.  I think my daughter's birthday is a good start.  She just turned 2 yesterday.  I am going to find ways to get the walks in.  On Tuesdays and Thursday depending on what I'm scheduled and my son's school, after I drop my son off I can get a little walking in.  I'll figure the rest out day by day.

My son saw the picture of the dog challenge and now wants his own,  I am signed up for the 31 mile challenge and will sign my son up for the 15 mile challenge.  (I hate to say it, but the walking won't hurt either of us!)  So we will be working on earning this one together.

I'm hoping to earn the Movie Madness and the Pink Ninja this weekend.  I wasn't able to get up as early as I wanted to this morning because of the kids.  So I'm going to try and get up early and get some miles in tomorrow before the kids get up.  Wish me luck!

9 new runs added to the list.  3 of them are awareness walks.  ACT Fast Stroke Awareness in honor of my mother-in-law, Karen, who survived her stroke and in the memory of my "adoptive" grandpa, Charles, who didn't survive his stroke.  Organ Donation Awareness, because with out organ donation I wouldn't have had the honor of meeting Heather, who is an awesome lady with a great sense of humor.  The last one was for the Honeybees, because without them we wouldn't have some pretty amazing things.
2 of the races were fundraisers.  Walk for the Cure-We are a Scout Unit located in Mt. Washington, KY. Our Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts have taken part in the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk for the last 3 years and we would like to be able to help as much as we can.  HCM Veterans Assistance-Haywood Christian Ministry is a crisis assistance ministry in Western North Carolina that helps more than 14,000 people per year. The HCM Veterans Assistance Fund helps Veterans, their families and their widows who are experiencing a family or financial crisis. 100% of the proceeds from this event will be used to help Veterans and their families.
The rest of the races are Save the Pumpkins, With God, Haunted House, and Breast Cancer Run.  These 9 put me into the 5k club for registering for 12 runs in one year.  Next up is the Beast mode which means I need to sign up for 50 or more so at least 38 more...It's possible!

Never Forget

My pup helped me to finish earning this medal.  I figured I finished in 01:29:10.  We will never forget that day.  My heart foes out to those who lost someone
