Breast Cancer 5k cont'

I did another .96 of a mile with my mom and the kids so we could hatch an egg in Pokémon go.   Mom was able to hatch her 3, but I have a little bit to go on my 10k egg.  Almost there.  So I have 1.7 miles in of 3.1 for my 5k.  I might be doing some loops tonight again.  But I'm getting out there and walking!

Breast Cancer Awareness

Started doing this 5k.  I got in 3/4 of a mile.  But all I did was make a loop in the front of the house and a few in the backyard.  But that's about all I could take that and some people were walking by and I didn't want them to think I was completely nuts.

Frankenstein 5k

Frankenstein 5k by US Road Running done.  The family and I went to a state Park near us and got it in...well most of it.  1:22:30 is a good time when you aren't trying for a record, which I wasnt.  Yesterday was about spending time with the family!

Police appreciation

The one I picked because I have great respect for the.police and firefighters never knowing what their work day will entail and if they will make it home.  I happen to have a police officer in my family my cousin Matt and a firefighter my brother Rob

Memorial Day

I don't know any personal that has given their lives for our country...BUT it's still a great thing to walk/run for

Veterns day

As Veterans day approaches, I couldn't remember those in my family that served our country.  Now I know I won't remember them.  So my Grandpa K-Army, my Uncle Lyle-Navy, my Uncle Gil-Air Force, my Aunt Penny-Army Reserve, my husband brother Travis-Marines, my husbands Uncle Wally-Air Force.

Veterans day, Labor day, Memorial day

Veterans Day falls on November 11 each year. It honors all war veterans, and it falls on the day when World War I fighting ceased the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. In fact, according to the original decree, Veterans Day was supposed to start at 11 a.m. each year.

Labor Day falls on the first Monday of September each year. The holiday is more than 100 years old and was created after calls from the labor movement to recognize the social and economic achievements of American workers

Memorial Day is the final Monday of May each year. It recognizes those who lost their lives in service to our nation. Like Labor Day, it’s unclear who exactly came up with the idea more than two dozen groups or people have claimed to have created it.

In memory

I'm doing Breast Cancer awareness in memory of my paternal grandma and in honor of my maternal grandma.    Both are in remission and it came back as bone cancer for my paternal grandma,  which she wasn't able to beat.   I know that with both my Grandmas having it my daughter and I have a higher risk of getting it. 💟 you Grandma B. and Grandma K.

In honor 2

I picked the Epilepsy Awareness walk in honor of a friend, Kirsten, who I've known since 7th grade!  We had a falling out and have since reconnected.  She is a mom of a little boy, Jul.  She isn't letting Epilepsy stop her in being a great mom.

In honor

There's an awesome lady named Daun who I haven't meet in person but we meet through a running group that disbanded.  She doesn't let MS stop her.  So it's one of those things that I can complain about a lot of things, but she's kicking MS in the butt.

my virtuals

So I was going over all my virtual walks last night and this morning I'm pretty sure I don't have them all listed. So that means there's a over 350 and from what I can till I don't think I've done most of them.  I can go back on a couple of the running sites (http://www.fundrun4bling.com/, http://www.moonjoggers.com/, http://www.fundrun4bling.com/)  one of the other ones I used a lot went out of business.  But the three sites above have been very reliable. I know there a re a couple of more but I have to get the address up.

So I them written down and I think the best way is to pull a medal and then do the walk and than hang up the medal.  I need to do some fixing on where I want to put the medals, because that is one of the few places that hasn't been painted since I moved into the house.  Though I'd rather put them somewhere else.  Maybe I can work on that.  (unless we move, than I would have to rethink my whole plan of attack...but I'll cross that bridge if it happens which probably not in the next year or so)

Back on Track

So I back before my son was born I signed up for a butt load of virtual runs.  Some I've done some I haven't.  So I'm going to redo those I'm not sure of, so pretty much if I haven't scrapbooked it or mae a comment on here I'm thinking I haven't done it.
The kids and I just complete the Diabetes Awareness 5k through US Road Running (usroadrunning.com)  they also have a Facebook page.  It wasn't my greatest 5k but it was the greatest pushing 70 pounds worth of kids and the stroller.  we did it in 1:19:12.

I was dubbed diabetic in July of this year.  I'm controlling it with medication.  I had gestational diabetes with both my kids, which means they have a higher chance of getting diabetes.  It runs on my dad's side of the family of him and his siblings there's only 2 of the 9 that don't have it.  Diabetes doesn't care if you are thin or obese, race or what not.  So I dedicate this walk to my family.

Walkin streak 11-13

Not as much walking as I would like this week so far.  I have very minimal walking and more cross training. Today was freight day at work, S...
